DX, chilled water and glycol free cooling
Airedale has developed a new generation of AlphaCool Close Control air conditioning units featuring new AireTronix controls technology. The range now features 102 models with nominal cooling capacities ranging from 8kW to 101kW, available in both DX and chilled water versions. Energy saving glycol free-cooling is available on the larger downflow models within the range, benefiting from enhanced energy efficiency and further reduced running costs

Dual circuit outdoor/indoor solution for close control It can save space outside by quietly and efficiently doing the job of two. Airedale’s innovative, close control solution links the advanced technology and efficiency of the dual circuit, air cooled Ultima Compact Condensing Unit (UCCU) with its dual circuit AlphaCool close control counterpart. The result is an intelligent, close control DX solution with a higher end cooling capacity range of 65-90 kW, offering:

SmartCool is a next generation, precision cooling solution that can significantly reduce energy consumption and increase uptime. Within its sleek, compact exterior lies a synergy of advanced technology and cutting-edge components, creating a sophisticated and highly flexible system. In IT and other critical environments, SmartCool delivers efficient and intelligent cooling of fluctuating heat loads to maintain precise control.
Maximising energy efficiency and uptime
A choice of seven system types are available in DX (air/water cooled) or chilled water. They include DualCool options featuring DX and chilled water within the same case for built-in redundancy.
A raft of state-of-the-art options maximise efficiency and control allowing the most optimum, flexible and energy efficient solution to be selected. SmartCool's control logic, dual power and DualCool options within the case are designed to meet the N+1 and 2N redundancy requirements of critical data centre applications.
The free-cooling variant of DualCool uses 46% less energy than a standard air cooled DX system. At a nominal £0.11/kWHour this equates to a saving of approximately £8000/year or 31,000kg of CO2. Modular design and control logic allow easy expansion of the system when room load increases.Multiple units of different size and capacity can be looped together, with the potential for even greater savings in energy costs when linked with one or more Airedale free-cooling chillers.
