Air Conditioning Controls - Airetronix products

  • Intelligent Airetronix microprocessors are specially developed for use with Airedale chiller, close control and comfort products, offering powerful control, remote monitoring and alarm management. Linking the microprocessor with key components within the cooling system opens the door to sophisticated, modulating and self-optimising control.

Interconnectivity

  • The network-capable AireTronix controller can be integrated with a wide range of BMS protocols including the Internet via an internal Ethernet plug-in card. The plug-in serial cards have options to communicate with the following systems –
    • Carel
    • Modbus-Jbus
    • Echelon LonWorks devices
    • Metasys Johnson Controls
  • The following integration is also available:

PlantVisor

  • PlantVisor is an intelligent BMS software programme which links individual Airedale products and is managed by AireTronix controllers and located on one or more sites, into a single, proactive control platform. With the click of a button, information can be pulled back automatically and used for remote monitoring and control including 24/7 alarm indication, time scheduling and adjustment of temperature setpoints for increased energy efficiency.

pCOWeb

  • pCOWeb supervisory plug-in cards make communicating with an Airedale unit purely a matter of logging onto the office Internet/Intranet. Based on Ethernet TCP/IP secure technology and SNMP features, pCOWeb requires no proprietary cabling or monitoring software, little or no set-up on site and is pre-programmed with an IP address.

Energy Manager

  • Energy Manager is an intelligent energy metering system providing a vital insight into the energy consumption of a chiller or air conditioning system. Capable of sophisticated analysis, Energy Manager identifies key areas where potential energy savings can be made and operational costs significantly reduced. Using an intuitive set of analysis and reporting tools and user-friendly interface, Energy Manager can be installed in new or retrofit installations and can be analysed by the site BMS.

Sequence Manager

  • Chiller Sequence Manager is a super-intelligent control system which integrates air or water cooled chillers into a single operating system pre-programmed to run as master/slave or run/standby. The master controller will ‘play’ the cooling system for best-fit, energy efficient solutions ensuring equal wear on compressors, fully utilising fresh air for free cooling and allowing remote or time zone set point adjustment across the sequence. It will react immediately to critical alarms and network failure.

Remote Electronic Expansion Valve

  • Easily applied in commercial, retail or leisure applications, the Remote Electronic Expansion Valve (REEV) brings the efficiency and control of electronic expansion valves to a split system, providing stable and accurate control of the refrigeration system superheat.

DX, chilled water, dual cool, freecooling, etc

SmartCool is a next generation, precision cooling solution that can significantly reduce energy consumption and increase uptime. Within its sleek, compact exterior lies a synergy of advanced technology and cutting-edge components, creating a sophisticated and highly flexible system. In IT and other critical environments, SmartCool delivers efficient and intelligent cooling of fluctuating heat loads to maintain precise control.

Maximising energy efficiency and uptime

A choice of seven system types are available in DX (air/water cooled) or chilled water. They include DualCool options featuring DX and chilled water within the same case for built-in redundancy.

A raft of state-of-the-art options maximise efficiency and control allowing the most optimum, flexible and energy efficient solution to be selected. SmartCool's control logic, dual power and DualCool options within the case are designed to meet the N+1 and 2N redundancy requirements of critical data centre applications.

The free-cooling variant of DualCool uses 46% less energy than a standard air cooled DX system. At a nominal £0.11/kWHour this equates to a saving of approximately £8000/year or 31,000kg of CO2. Modular design and control logic allow easy expansion of the system when room load increases.Multiple units of different size and capacity can be looped together, with the potential for even greater savings in energy costs when linked with one or more Airedale free-cooling chillers.
